I know it is an 845 chipset Intel board, but can't find specs likewhat it is, what processors (478 PIN for example) it uses (yes I know P4), etc. Somene surely owns one of these from the hot deals and can tell me. thanks.
Every Dell board I have seen is made by Intel. It is usually a standard Intel board with a Dell tweaked BIOS and different power and front panel connections. MSI???
Interesting. I can believe IBM and Compaq. I haven't been inside one of the newest Dells. Where do you get that info about MSI? Not that I don't believe you, but I'm curious about it.

Yep. The new black colored Dells don't use the "OEM'd Intel board in the OEM'd Palo Alto ATCX case with the proprietary ATX power supply and front panel" design they've been doing for years which is probably what you're thinking of. They decided to make everything proprietary so that there's no hope or confusion in trying to make use of their parts. But the design does make the system much easier to service, the new Dimensions are similar in that aspect to the Optiplex line.
