I just tried to use Google Maps and what a frustrating experience! I'd used it a few weeks ago to find a local route and today, it wouldn't let go of that route. My new route, the URL stayed for the old route. Couldn't delete the old route. I couldn't save a location (my house!), I couldn't save my new route. 1/2 the features don't seem to work. What a POS. What do you use?

Yeah, I found that out today, nice. But it won't work for me, not today. I closed, reopened, it won't let me save a location, it won't friggin' forget my search of 3 weeks ago, WTH. I can't save a map. I saved a map and when I click it, it shows a different map, WTH? Maybe something's messed up in my cache or the cookie, but it seems worthless to me right now. I can start the process all over again (i.e. do Get Directions), enter the two locations, drag the route, but it's right now impossible for me to save the search. Even the URL (copied from my Firefox address bar) is for the directions I got 3 weeks ago! :rolleyes:D::hmm::eek::\

Now, it seems to be working. Seems like maybe there was no Web History enabled. New concept to me. Google had me sign in to enable it. I was already signed in... Anyway, it seems to be working now. Nutty stuff.

Yesterday I used Google Maps to make a route for me to a location I wasn't familiar with, ~45 miles away. It had me looking for a route 87, but it never happened. There was route 82, 85, I kept driving and finally I got off the highway and was told I had over shot my destination. Dang map was wrong. Well, if it was right, there were no highway signs to confirm it. Pretty frustrating. I was 1/2 hour late.

I prefer mapquest for most things.

I like google map's because I can change the route to suit my preferences, but the dammed site loads pretty slowly for me most of the time.

Online I use GoogleMaps, but typically I use MS Streets and Trips offline.

I actually prefer Bing maps, they seem to give me the most accurate directions, and it is really easy to drag the route around or add a mid-point stop.
