What manufactures supply inf files for LCD displays?

I have a Planar PL190M LCD monitor and they don't supply a .inf file.
I think that is 'strange' for a $600 monitor to have to use a generic 4 year old file from Windows. I'm running 2k (please don't try to sell me on FP, er XP either).

How many manufactures supply .inf files for their LCD monitors?

Even in W2K, letting the graphics card driver read the display's PnP data record ("EDID") should work effortlessly and fine. You're lost only if the LCD monitor's makers fscked up the EDID data (which still does happen), or if you are on an old fashioned BNC cable. Otherwise, setting it on "PnP monitor" is your best option.

This is also why no one bothers make monitor .INF files anymore. There are practically no more gfx cards out there who don't have the PnP data channel, and the monitors themselves contain the entire dataset anyhow.
