Hard Drive: Samsung 80 gig @ 7200 RPMS
CDR/CDRW Manufacturer & Model: Lite-On 52x

Lockups are often caused by heat problems. But lockups are often caused by heat problems.

I would first run memtest to confirm that the memory was not causing the problem. Then, I would run prime95 to confirm that the CPU was not causing the problem.
If neither were, then, it is the graphics card that is heating up and causing the freeze.

It is easier to move forward if you know exactly which component is responsible.
You can improve the air flow in your case to improve cooling. If that does not help, you can also change coolers to better and more efficient ones.

Use Motherboard Monitor to monitor your CPU and case temperatures. Have it log the temperatures to a text file. Next time you have a freeze, you can have a look at the log file aftere you reboot to see how hot the CPU or the case get at the freeze time.
You can also see the voltages in the same log file. Make sure that they do not drop too much, which is important for stable operation.

Exactly what navid said, and did you overclock at all? If you did, take your clocks back and see if that solves it.
