What makes your college famous?

If i mention Purdue to anyone, they know engineering.

but if i mention Kent State (where im transferring) they know it because of "oh, the place where they shot the students"

no one even knows they helped invent LCDs but o well.

Don't forget George Wallace standing in the schoolhouse door! And Forrest Gump! btw, i'm going to bama also.

Engineering, agriculture

Other things:
First digital computer, George Washington Carver, CEO of Lockheed Martin, former CEO of Boeing (okay, those last two most people don't care about)

Oh, I know. But even those take a backseat to Football and Bear Bryant. 😀 There are plenty of important people/events from UofA but everything is overshadowed by the Bear.

if I mention UMD to anyone they automatically know the Terps. Winning the NCAA tourney while I was there helped that out heh.

and Logan Young...I am assuming you know who he is. May he RIP.

The college I attended is famous because it was designed to be the nation?s first solar photovoltaic prototype facility.

Even more famous because, it didn't work.
