What makes you happy?

I have been going through some stuff the last few years. So I was wondering what makes you happy in life? Perhaps i am looking for insperation or something. i know I am tired of feeling down all the time.

Going to bars/clubs, hanging with friends, meeting people, sex, listening to music, reading things i am iterested in.

VeggieFrog makes me happy.

But she is far away and I have not been truly happy since she left
🙁

But I have my b/f and my cats and they are pleasing to me.

🙂

I've actually been thinking about this a lot the past few days.

People to talk to. About serious things, not about things like what we talk about here 😛

Yeah it seems once you get well into your 30's life becomes a little less enjoyable. I remember when i was in my early 20's and life was great. It isn't so much the world around me has changed, but in truth it has, it is that I have changed so much. Things I used to find enjoyable I no longer feel that way about them. Don't get me wrong i know life could get a lot worse real quick, but I want happiness. Perhaps that is something I will have to learn to get for myself or something. So does happyness come from within or doest it come from some external source?

Thanks to those that have posted what makes them happy. I don't have much of a family I can rely on and I don't have but one or two distant friends. So I don't have anyone to talk to.

well i love poetry, and a glass of scotch, and, of course, my friend baxter here.

edit: music is big to me. if i didnt have music in my life id be doomed.

Golf. Unless the course if full of A55holes.
Sex, especially with younger hot looking woman.
Bj's from the same, especially when they swallow.
Totally Hosing my cousin at Madden.

Starting a project, getting inspired about it, making progress on it until it's completed, and being pleased with how it turned out.

Cleaning is always a good way of cheering up--not the actual cleaning itself, but the results. I'm happier when things are clean and tidy.

Getting a good deal on something I like and have use for. That's a dangerous one, because I have to fight my tendency to fill my house with things I've gotten good deals on, which makes #2 above more challenging.

Compliments and attention when I'm in the mood for them and when they're not from people trying to get me to do something for them or give them something.

I have to put in a vote for "money," too.

Dang maybe to an extent money does = happiness. This is sad for me since I doubt I will ever be well off. I was hoping to find ways of being happy with limited means.

Thanks to those who have responded so far.

No matter how much I crave money and things, nothing makes me happier than hanging out and living life with my friends. Whether its a party, a bar, a bong session, or just a chill relaxing night, as long as my friends and I are having a great time I'm happy. I'd rather be a poor man with the friends i have now than a rich man with no one.
