a moth or something just flew into my light... flapped around on the glass cover and has finally stopped moving.

this seems to happen with nearly any flying bug... soo whats the deal? instincts make it fly into light? what stops them from flying away and NOT dying?

Bugs, especialy moths use the moon's light as guidance when they fly about at night. Lamps being sufcicently bright as the moon to a bug confuses them and they end up flying towards it.
That is what I remember anyways, I could be completly wrong.
/Grabs six pack and sets up the bug zapper.
