What major to do this...

Ok, I've just about had it with Computer Science. I'm starting to think it is not the field I originally thought it was.

With that said, what major/minors would one take to be an editor/staff writer/contributor to a computer magazine/game magazine?

Journalism is my only thought, but that just doesn't seem like it would land me a job at said companies.

Let's hear your thoughts, especially if you are in that field already.

Another one bytes the dust.

English, Journalism, Communications.

To tell you the truth, these companies look for two things: 1) writing ability, 2) passion for playing games. They don't give a flying lemur's nut what your degree is in. However, the above majors WILL help you develop your writing style and communication abilities which couldn't hurt.

So, start writing, make your own game reviews, and use them when you apply because the WILL make you submit prior work.
