I own a small, easy to read book that is a fictional account of an abandoned Marine's walk through the desert years ago. Fictional, obviously, because his remains were found months later and who knows what the walk was like. I read it about every six months and it motivates me. Not the Marine dying part of it, of course, but such things as the Belleau Wood accounts and what-not. Just my own motivation.

I didn't think it was that big of a deal. Just a line from a Warren Zevon tune that fit the username I was using at the time. I should have saved that for use at Ars, where they let you cuss and all.
