What mac should I go with?

I have three options. I've already sold my desktop machine, and preparing to sell my pre-unibody mbp.

A) 13" MBP w/my 30" LCD (Cheapest)

B) 15" MBP w/my 30" LCD (In the end, perhaps most expensive)

C) 27" iMac (Core i7 refurb for $1850) & iPad. I'd sell my 30" monitor.

The end goal is to have some sort of mobile computing, along with a big screen. I already have a 30" LCD, however, I'm willing to part with it. I don't play a lot of games. I could see myself playing TF2 from time to time when steam comes out. I mainly browse the internet/whatever. When I use my computer away from the desk, it's mainly to browse the internet on the couch or whatever, which the iPad can do well.

What would you do?

If you are going to want mobile computing then your choices are really a or b. The 15inch models are very nice. It all comes down to screen size when you are away from your desk.

For me personally it would be option A as I am not crazy about 15" screens. But the 15" is a more powerful system and can do more stuff.

it's damn hard to go back to 24" man - i have a lp2475 and lp2480zx (!!) and lp3065 hp and quite honestly the 24" suck now. lp3065 is like 1/3 the price of lp2480zx - for me about 600 bones new. totally worth every penny - i might even could do two 30" but not sure if its really necessary.

15" mbp ftw - core i5 - core 2 duo is played out man! 13" no core i5/i3/i7 option for now.

i find my dell mini-9 with osx is far superior than ipad for browsing. it has a natural stand - with substantial weight - lays on mah belly - ipad is very unstable with any stand solution i've seen to date.
