What lunch chains have the best coffee?

I frequently go out to lunch at work and get a coffee with my lunch instead of a soda. However, a lot of places have really crappy coffee. The absolute worst in my opinion is Panera Bread. I go there quite a bit since its close to where I work and for some stubborn reason I keep getting the coffee there, and its always awful. Maybe I'm hoping it'll actually improve one day, but it never does. They always have 4 different flavors, the worst being the decaf, its practically undrinkable. Though none of them are really worth drinking.

In contrast, down the street a little more is a Bruegger's Bagels. I absolutely love their Hazlenut Cream coffee, though the lunches themselves aren't the greatest and kind of a ripoff, but I go there just for the coffee.

Any other common places with really good or really bad coffee?

I actually think Panera has ok coffee. Not good, not bad.
McDonalds USED to have the best coffee around, and now, in MI, they are doing a test market for other coffee drinks (latte, caps, mocha, etc) and the quality of all their coffee has since been lowered.

There is a place a few miles away from my office that is known for the HUGE sandwiches and rather healthy meals that is also has a great selection of coffees and unusual teas.
They have the best in the area.

McDonalds was piss water until their new select coffees, but now it is actually pretty good.

Starbucks sucks and always will, tastes like stale french roast made here.

Dunkin of course has the best tasting non gourmet coffee...by far.

Either way just go to Trader Joe's and pick up some whole bean columbian. The best.

I can only stand Starbucks. I think I tried coffee from Panera once and it was not good. I never tried coffee from McDonald's but I know someone who complains about it every time he gets it, and he keeps getting it too...(weird). I think what is best is that you could just get a coffee maker (1-3 cups size) and then make your own coffee at work or something.

You should let the managers at the Panera know about the bad coffee.. it sounds like they are either storing the beans incorrectly (not sealed), the equipment is dirty (it's supposed to be cleaned every night), or they are using too much or too little beans. Or maybe it had been sitting too long. I can't remember, but I don't think the coffee is supposed to sit for more than an hour.
