What I've purchased so far:

ASUS X99-Pro Motherboard
G.Skill Ripjaws 16GB (4x4) 2800 DDR4
Corsair H110 AIO
Phanteks 140mm & 120mm high air pressure fans
Cooltek W2 Black case
2x HGST 4TB NAS HDD
ASUS 16X DVD/RW

And I'm going to pick up the 5820K tomorrow from Microcenter. I'll be swapping over one of my current Seagate SSD's and one of my current MSI 970's over to this 5820K rig I'm building. :D

I purchased -

- About 30 DVD movies from Wal Mart for $2/each.
- 2 TV series for $10/each from WM.
- A zip hoodie for $10 from WM.
- A heavy jacket for $30 and a pack of small flashlights with batteries for $10 from Bass Pro.
- A bunch of AA batteries for about $0.15 each from Lowes and Home Depot and a set of travel locks for $5.
- Nikes sneakers for $30.

I am sure I forget something in the list.

I am thinking about a PS4/XB1 and a GoPro. Not sure if I will get them or not.

I was hoping to score a couple of WD 4TB Red hard drives, but there weren't any great deals. The grand total of my Black Friday scores came to $6.98 for:

Rubermaid Easy Find Lid, 28 piece assortment. I've been using these things for about six or seven years and they're absolutely awesome. Best thing _ever_ in food storage. They nest well, and different sizes of container share the same lids. What's best about them is how they stack (the bottom of the containers lock into the tops of the lids, which in turn lock into the tops of other lids). You can fit a lot of them in a cupboard, they don't fall all over the kitchen when you pull out a stack of them, and the corresponding lid is always attached to the container ("easy find").

One downside: If you microwave anything in them, they tend to pit as the liquid boils, and they can become kind of ugly. I've noticed that Rubbermaid has since come out with similar lines, one mad of a hard plastic, and one of glass.

Dayum you can fit like a whole pineapple in the big one and a whole lime in the medium sized one. You'll save a ton of money bringing your own food instead of eating out.

A TV my GF bought last week was on sale for like $20 more then she paid on Black friday. Brita filters went from $17 to $24 "on sale." Train sets went from $12 to $17 on BF.

People are dumb.

I might buy my parents a ~$190 combo deal for a new computer. For 250w I might buy one, I don't play games and just do internet/email/word/videos anymore.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.2011581

My computers use retarded amounts of power for what I do anymore. Apparently it can even play SC2. Cool beans.

Or retailers are finally getting the hang of this shit. :) "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public."

I have a feeling we've seen the last of the stupid (good) Black Friday deals. When you can draw in 1000 people, many of whom camp out for four days, just to buy a handful of cheap TVs, while the rest are having fistfights over children's toys and coffee makers, I'd say you've milked just about as much out of Black Friday as you're ever going to.

Black Friday is lame. So are stores that open on Thanksgiving day.

That said, a few days before Thanksgiving, I picked up three Winbook 7" Win8.1 tablets for $59.99 + tax ea. at Microcenter. I plan on replacing a few desktops with these. Already ordered MicroHDMI adapters and USB hubs.

What's crazy is that every merchant who has my email address has been sending me Black Friday ads nonstop for the last two days about every two to four hours. The same smartphones and tablets and microSD cards, the same snowshoes and sleeping bags and hats, the same aluminum Christmas trees and wreaths and tree lights, the same crock pots and knives and griddles. Over and over and over and over and over again.

We're beyond the saturation point.

Yeah, too bad they're out of stock on the non-cellular 64 GB units. They seem to have plenty of the 16 GB and 128 GB wifi only iPads in stock, however. I was seriously considering upgrading my iPad 4 but I think I'll just wait.

Well I caved, I just put an NCIX order today (had a few hours till the deals expire).

2 4U rackmount cases (my workstation is in the server room so been wanting to convert them to rackmount)
2 KVM switches
Motherboard, CPU and PSU for a new computer build - already have ram and video card and ssd.

$785.58 shipped. (shipping was free! Even for the rackmount cases)

Been wanting to build a new machine anyway as I want a lower power machine for Linux/every day use and then dedicate my current power hungry i7 behemoth for windows/gaming and I'll only turn it on as needed.

Ended up with a vacuum and a train for around the tree. Home Depot had a giant train set for like $29.

My buddy had a better idea - he got a slot car set for around the tree so he can race haha.

Oh yeah, I did have a bunch of almost free/very cheap lunch yesterday via American Express. You use AE cards at small businesses on Saturday and AE will give you back $10 (up to 3 times per card). Too much food..hehehehe.

It is the first one in years that I got nothing!
I had an emergency side job so I made money instead of spending it.

Anyone else balk at the deals? They weren't that good that I could find. Nothing that was a good deal was anything I actually wanted or something I thought someone could use. The stuff that was good wasn't on sale much.

I generally buy *something* on BF even if its for myself I'm actually surprised how much I balked at all the ads/deals/price checking and I was like, nah I'm heating up some leftovers.

I didn't find any great deals, but I did find the lowest prices of the year on some hard drives. So, if BF means lowest prices, even if it doesn't mean "insane deal", then it can be the best time to buy some things.

What is the point of Cyber Monday now that Black Friday is online before the stores even open?
