What Linux distro should I try?

I've decided to give Linux one last go-around. What is the best/easiest to use distro now? I've had bad experiences in the past with Linux, but I am willing to try it one last final time.

Make me a believer! 😀

I have found Mandrake 7.1 to be the simplest to install and use. I've heard bad things about Mandrake 7.2 though.

I've tried for 4 years 😛

Linux tries my patience for about 5-6 hours, then I microwave the CD and say "Screw it"

Linux distros that have passed my wake

They all pissed me off, and got turned into coasters. 😀 ~Snap~ ~BZZZZTTTT~

Well, then I am happy to report that Red Hat 7.0 and Mandrake 7.2 are leagues above the versions of the distros that you have tried before.

I highly recommend either of the above. Then again, if you have less than standard or widespread (read popular) hardware, then you may run into more difficulties than others.

Then again, Caldera eDesktop v2.4 isn't too half bad itself.
