What lightweight distros for virtual network?

I'm studying for a Linux+ and taking a class and I want to setup a virtual network to learn how to configure NIS, LDAP, mail servers, etc. I'm using OPENSUSE for the "server" and I am having trouble figuring which distro to use for the client side.

The thing is my pc is very limited on available RAM. I have 2 GB DDR800, which isn't a whole lot. I want to install a genuine release and not use LiveCD implementations like DSL or Knoppix.

Any distros out there that can be installed to a partition and download/install from repositories that can run well enough on 128mb to 256mb of RAM?

I've always like CentOS. I use it to run virtual phone systems all day long. Don't load a GUI and you can trim your requirements down significantly.
