Aside from text ghost (a problem on every monitor; ie when I scroll text very slowly on a web page, it drags) and mouse scrolling noticeable when moving the mouse on green background (like in Solitaire), I don't see any ghosting in games or movies. In fact, on the Monitors Direct page, my LCD had less trailing than my former tube, which is pretty interesting.
Circuit City offers many more reviews on monitors. Of course, this is my first LCD, but I definitely like it a lot. I tweaked up MS Cleartype, and I realize how blurry my CRT was now. For the price, I wouldn't go back.
On dead pixels: I have two half-dead pixels in the bottom right corner. One usually green, one usually red. It doesn't bother me at all since they're smaller than dust specs. Usually, it seems that only one of the two show up, so I'm cool with it.
If you have questions regarding the resolution, 1280x1024, I have to say that it's awesome. The thing is that normal monitors are made with a 4:3 length:height ratio, but I measured mine, and it's actually 5:4. Since the shape is a bit more square and since it has a 17" diagonal, it comes out to 141 square inches of viewing area (according to my math), just 3 square inches less than a 18" viewable 19" tube.
