What LCD is this really?

There were some LCDs I saw in a doctor's office today about 21" that said NEC 2110 Multisync LCD and pivot-enabled on them.

They were in pretty high res, no way it was 1600x1200 as the text looked normal size to me and I'm used to using above that on a 17". (A google search on NEC 2110 brings up specs for a 1600x1200 LCD but I don't believe that's what this really is.)

Also, looking closely I could see 4 sub-pixels to each pixel, as if the native res of the screen was really double this.

It was easily the best image quality I've ever seen, and I normally dislike LCDs. Pure blacks on an LCD with good contrast also. About 3" thick.
