For work - I want the fastest available processor with the best screen I can find - anyone have any recommendations?

I'm currently looking at one of the Sony models with a UXGA screen.

thanks

Ok you know that is Centrino right? 1.7Ghz Pentium M specs around a 2.6Ghz P4. Sure you can get a 3Ghz P4 laptop but your battery life is nowhere near Centrino.

To be a little more accurate the 1.7 specs to about 2.72... but who's counting? Voodoo claims the 1.7 to spec the same as a 3.06 P4, not sure about that.

I love this guy. :p

Is price a concern at all? Take a look at Voodoo's lineup. :) They got some good stuff.

low 2k's is the range..

looking at the D800 with a Wuxga screen...that is a Geforce2go 420 card - does that do dual output?

Voodoo would be a hard sell...

It's a Geforce4 4200 go basically a Geforce4 Ti 4200 desktop card only clocked lower.

Yes I use mine with dual monitors It works fine but you may have to play a round of driver fun to make things happy.

Initially you stated that you would like the fastest CPU available if so this would be a nice option. ;) If not I like my D800 just wish it had an mr9600...

Well, the biggest screen (17")& best value for a 3.06 is the hp zd7010. I don't know that much about it otherwise, except that you can get one for around $1300 with the 10% hp coupon. I'm not sure about the resolution though, it might not be high enough for you.
