What LAN card should i get?

hi! im a n00bie at networking here. im getting a pci lan card for this new rig im building and came across two options... 10mbps or 100mbps or 10/100mbps. which one? i plan to connect just two pcs at home, will a switch/hub do that? sorry if my questions sound stupid. :)

Definitely get a 10/100 one. Once in awhile they will go on sale for about $5 (Linksys, D-Link, Netgear, but not 3COM, Intel).

If you plan to get DSL or cable, you might also consider a router. Look in the Hot Deals forum and you'll some see some deals on routers like SMC7004ABR for about $40 after MIR. Get a switch rather than a hub because they cost about the same and a switch will allow you to uplink to a DSL/cable modem, which runs at 10Mbps, and still have your computers connected at 100Mbps.
