Now, if you were "The Dual-Core Athlon 64 x2 Guy", you could truly multitask and do both.

I've always figured that studying when you're half asleep is pointless, but that's just me.

Your brain works better and you retain more knowledge when you are well rested. Staying up late to study when you are tired is not as beneficial as breaking up the studying over many days and studying when you are well rested. Maybe that's how your parents figure it. What's the point in cramming all night long and then forgetting everything two days later? Better to let the knowledge perkolate and digest in your head if you really want to retain what you're learning.

Mm, who says P4's with HT can't multitask? :p

I wasn't really cramming anyways. I started at 8 30 after doing my homework and finished at 12 30, it's a 4 hour test after all.

I corrected it and I did terrible in English, which is definately* what I have to work on.
*See, I can't even spell this word right.

Stop fretting on the SAT crap. I only got a 1400 on my SAT and I did fine in life. I was on painkillers that day too because I had torn my ligaments the day before playing ball, but I think the painkillers helped a little. ;)

**EDIT**
Don't study for that junk test. It will only make you stress out more. My friends all crammed for that thing. So most of them scored 1500 or 1600, but big deal, we all ended up going to the same college anyways. I took it, got a 1400, decided that was good enough. FTW.

Studying when you're too tired is counterproductive.

And if an 1800/2400 is equivalent to 1200 on the old test, I wouldn't call that pathetic... or you'd be calling the majority of people pathetic. It's not "stellar," but it's still good.

But then again I heard they're grading the new section much easier, so maybe it's not so good, I don't know. :)

Reason why you keep screwing up the numbers is because you are tired. GO TO BED.

Anyone else notice that the math section of the SATs are ridiculously easy? I keep making silly mistakes (ex: forgetting to double a number) and screwing everything up. I'm a failure at engllish anyway, so I'm working on that.

Had to rant. Sorry.

Edit: Do I deserve a cookie?

Oh yeah, I forgot 1400 wasn't great anymore. I also make such mistakes that ends up adding up. Thankfully, I'm not a failure at english, though. =0)

SATs are overrated. I speak as a successful person who didn't care nor studied for the SATs in the least bit and got out with 1000 back when 1400 was great.

[edit] My girlfriend is at an Ivy League College and she only scored around 1200 or 1300, if I recall, I'll ask her.

 to you. My parents never pushed me because I did well without trying (must have been some sort of mixup at the hospital - both of them are about as smart as dead & decaying retarded slugs) and I ended up being a lazy sh!t :p

Motivation from your parents is definatley the worst thing in the world. I hate being told what to do. I know for a fact that I do much better when I challange myself then when my parents tell me to do something. I'd rather be self motivated, or at least be motivated by someone who I actually see working hard... you know?

Edit: I didn't mean to sound cruel. I meant that parents are there to guide you, not hold your hand....but if you don't have any drive of your own, you're fvck'd in the real world.
