So I'm looking for a wireless card, but I'm clueless about the speeds.

I have DSL and need something that won't bottleneck my speeds.

My download speeds is 1321 kbps and upload speeds is 324 kbps.

Can you guys recommend me one?

There's 300 mbps, 125, 54..... any other options I should get?

How's this card?

The average DSL speed is 5Mbps down & 700Kbps up. The slowest wired Ethernet cable is 10Mbps. The slowest wireless 802.11b is 11Mbps. Any way you hook up your Internet connection, you're only bottlenecked by your DSL speed. You're not bottlenecked by your hardware. In other words, the only way to speed up your DSL is to upgrade to FiOS at up to 50Mbps. However, even if you got FiOS, you're NOT guaranteed 50Mbps. Hence, the wording "up to 50Mbps".

Just sit back & enjoy your DSL.

Is there a specific reason you need a PCI wireless card for a desktop? If it's going to be stationary, why not just run an ethernet cable, it'll be much more stable? But comparing the two, Jacks is definately better because it's antenna is separate and can be moved around (such as on the top of a desk for better range)

When it comes treat it carefully (so you can return if needed), and try it.

If the connection is Not strong, make sure that the Antenna is not stuck between the towr and the wall close to the floor.

Otherwise, return and get the Edimax, or get an external Antenna with coax (like the Edimax) so you can sit the Antenna above the system.
