and where'd you buy it?

looking for some ideas and inspiration :) I need a new coat for this year... I went shopping yesterday and found one I liked, but it was way more than I'd be willing to pay.

columbia 3in1 winter jacket

not a titanium, but a very good one anyways

I bought it at the end of a winter season and got it for 120CDN instead of 350 :)

I bought from Sportchek (canadian sport mogul)

Something very similar to this. It does not get very cold here and if it does I just wear a scarf, gloves, and a toque.

KT

Edit: That may actually be the exact coat I have.

Edit2: link fixed!

Only thing I need in Winter time here is either my leather jacket or my burnt orange hoodie! I'll be lucky if it's below freezing for more then a couple of days all winter.

Black Arc'Teryx Patriot SV, bought last year on a deal for ~$250. It's insulated and very warm. Retailed for about $550 at the time.

Good link. :p I have a BR 3/4 wool coat. Works well for NE winters.

Back in Michigan, I have a 3/4ths length grey pinstripe coat, a traditional peacoat, a Marmot winter outer layer, an Andrew Marc parka, an Andrew Marc leather jacket...and who knows what else.

Too bad I don't have any need for it now that I'm in Phoenix. I miss winter fashion.

Black midthigh car coat from Banana. If you get cold easily you'll need to supplement.

I typically just wear a Northface Goretex Shell, with no lining. The cold doesn't bother me too much.

Looks like mine, but shorter and probably not as thick. I got it years ago when I had a good deal. It came to $120 or something after a couple of discounts and BR card signup. They've had a new revision of it every year with very slight changes.

It's still in good shape after all the snow and rain I've worn it in without an umbrella. Should get it dry cleaned again before winter starts.

a light fleece with a wind-breaker outer shell. winters aren't too bad in the south, but it can get windy since i'm just off the coast.

I still have my Navy peacoat.
I got a nice parka from Fleet Farm in Minnesota. Its black nylon with goose down filling.
I've also got a decent long London Fog coat.

I dont know about Loki's neighborhood but in Virginia we have a store called the Rugged Wear House and they have all kinds of kickass coats for very reasonable prices.
Theres a store locator on the main page.

I love the California folks that talk about their light jackets even though they don't have a winter.

I just wear a dickscarf in the winter.
