What kind of video card do I need for video editing?

I am upgrading my mobo to a Gigabyte or Epox KT400 or KT333. I plan on do some video editing and recording to SVHS as well as DVD. What do I need to look for in a video card? If my mobo has a firewire controller will I need an additional capture card or will the video card contain the necessary hardware? I was thinking of an ATI 64MB 9000 card circa $100.

The AIW 8500 will have everything you need, tv capture, tv out, dvi, and anolog crt out. This would be the card for DV.
