What kind of Video card do I need for run flight simulator 10 at 1680 x 1050 at high???

As has been stated before on this forum, even top of the line hardware cannot run this game with max settings. The game is made for Vista and Directx 10.

At least a 8800GTS, GTX would be better.

And a C2D, preferably E6600 or better, would also help.

That game is a monster. I wouldn't bother with it right now. Wait a year for hardware to catch up.

Preferably a 8800 series card.

Though, if you haven't bought the game yet and are curious about performance, your 7800 GT should be ok. I run my 7900GT at all settings high at 16x10 except for dynamic scenery, or whatever it is called, and the frames are fine. So, AA, textures, etc. are at high, and random trees and buildings are set low. No complaints, for now at least...😀

The only card I've used that can run any game at any setting is the 8800GTX.

I run 16xHQAA/16XAA/HQ/Supersampling TransAA in all my games. Its your only hope probably.
Theres always SLI. Thats getting a little more than even I'm willing to spend on a video card though. 😛

I've read even with a 8800GTX, a top end Conroe proc, and 2Gb RAM, the game puts a serious strain on a system. The game is graphically way ahead of its time.

is it really that far ahead of its time or is it just not very efficient? or it could be the sheer mass of information to render...
