What kind of video cable should I get?

I have a 32" Sony Wega non-HDTV flat screen TV with vertical compression and a decent Toshiba DVD player with component out. I currently have it hooked up with a low grade S-Video cable. I was thinking of getting some Monster Cable component video cables. Do you think it is worth it, will I see a difference even though the TV is not HDTV? Also which Monster Cable would you recommend, Video 1, 2, or 3? Thanks.

the s cable that came with it is fine.I agree Scoob, monster cable is overpriced. Its a very good product, but not worth $$$ per foot.

i got 6ft component video cables on ebay for 10 bucks.
cant tell too much difference from s vid, they both look good to me.

if you do have your heart set on monster cables, not willing to accept anything less, best advice i can give is to look on ebay and buy it there. the price is far cheaper than what retail stores will try and sell them to you for, and a lot of auctions have the boxes unopened.

Psh, if it's not even HDTV, and you have a short cable run, you might be able to get away using standard RCA cables.

isn't that what component cables are anyway? Probably have more shielding than standard RCAs, though.
