What kind of traffic is Zone Alarm blocking?

I keep getting hits on my firewall about every 2 minutes from ip 10.0.255.1 icmp type 9, what does this mean

Click the More Info button on your Zone Alarm for... ummm.. more info.

Also, this site has a lot of good info to help you identify who's been banging on what port on your machine and what you can do about it. :)

Zone alarm says data was sent from my computer to an unreachable computer on my network

areyou running any file sharing programs like Kazaa or WinMX?

i'm not an expert, but everytime i start Kazaa up, i get hit by the same IP over and over.

If you're using kazaa, you'd better get Ad-Aware. I've run it on a number of friends' machines, and it always finds over 200 pieces of spyware on any machine that's been near kazaa. :disgust:

Better yet, ditch it and use Kazaa Lite.

BTW all IP addresses in 10.x.x.x range are reserved for private networks, meaning you're not getting hits from outside of your home LAN. I'll have to agree that it is likely triggered by a spyware.
