Possibly, but with my sonicare I can do it in about 1/2 the time. Also, any good technique you use with manual brushing, you can use with sonicare. The head is the same shape... I have used other brands of electric, and nothing is like the sonicare toothbrush (original model).Originally posted by: jst0ney

They are not better, its just easier to do a good job. You can do the same with a regular but it takes better technique.
