What kind of tape for Hardcano probe?

I'm reinstalling my 2500+ with that SLK-900A from the SVC deal and want to connect the temp probe from the Hardcano in my Xaser III case to the underside of the CPU (not connected previously). Upon locating the little parts bag for the case I realized the tape usually supplied for that purpose is missing. What kind of tape can I use instead? Scotch? Freezer? Duct? Electrical? Good grief, the devil is in the details.

I used vinyl electrical tape; probe seems to be working, guess I'll just have to wait and see if the tape holds.
