Giant, Food Lion, and Kroger during school. I have the bonus cards for all of them--very handy.

I guess mid-range.

We buy food from Kroger (a Signature store if that matters), Whole Foods, and sometimes the Super Target out in Sugarland when we happen to need food and Target stuff at the same time. It's a nice Target.

Just because it has the lowest price doesen't mean it's bad.

I wouldn't ever shop somewhere like Wal-Mart for food.

We shop at WinCo. It's a local, employee owned, quite large grocery store.. and they have the best prices around! ;)

Most of the time I shop at Vons, Ralphs, Albertsons, and Spring Farms (cheap produce), but I get most of my dairy products (butter, yogurt, cottage cheese, cheeses) from Trader Joe's, along with brown rice and nuts. Trader Joe's meats are just way too expensive for me, but they do look mighty good.

my choices in this town are:
food lion: carries everything the other places do...with slightly less variety and always higher prices; good produce section
piggly wiggly: low prices on meat....which im not convinced is a good thing, everything else is cheap garbage, and their prodcue is disgusting
wal mart: variety, low prices, convenience (since you always need soemthing something....and they usually have it)

i end up going to wal mart, food lion is closer by a couple miles, so if i need something to finish fixing a meal (or a quick snack) ill go there

Those card things are such a sham.

Even with the card, it's way more expensive than other places.

I know, it's all about convience really. And I've found their fruits and vegtables are some of the freshests that I can find.

--edit--
Although somtimes their buy one get one free deals are pretty hard to beat. Like their safeway brand of paper towels, you buy a 12 pack and get another 12 pack free for $8. They have the same offers with TP and other similar items, especially laundry detergent. When those deals pop up I stockpile like crazy.

whichever one is closest.

If it is a big trip, I go to Sam's Club. But they are far away, and don't carry everything i need. So, I go to Stop & Shop for the rest.

Lowe's Foods. I'll get non-perishable items at a Super Wal-Mart sometimes, but had some bad experiences with their Meat and even some frozen products.

Cheapest local place, which still has the best quality produce around and a good selection everywhere else.

Harris Teeter. There're 2 on the way home. I think these guys are in the middle of the pack.

All three.

I have a Harmons right near me. (over priced mid range)
In town is a Schnucks (high mid range)
and a Cub Foods (low range, bag your own stuff)
and a Meijers (kinda like a super Walmart, but with a much nicer grocery area... it's low mid range)
