Get a high quality digital type splitter with a cable modem, not some cheap radio shack special.

I use a good one for my setup.

digital type splitter? WTH is that?

Just get a low-loss splitter. Something like -2.5db should be fine...and, yes, Radio Shack carries them, too.

Don't go with something cheap. Your cable speed and tv quality will suffer if you do.

Forget radio shack for that stuff.

You have never seen a real high end splitter for digital cable signals have you?

Get a satellite splitter from RadioShack. It has the higher frequency response that you need for digital.

FALSE. cable SPEED has NOTHING to do with the quality of the splitter.

I did, and everything works fine. Just get a normal RadioShack/CC/BB/whatever splitter for $5 - $10 and you'll be fine.
