Very cool! Thanks for the input; odd thing is, I found it on our apt balcony - we don't have a garden out there, how did it end up there?

they're all over Southern Ontario. They go by the generic name of garden spider.

if you have a garden, these will help keep bugs under control.

Plus they look really cool.

Never seen em in Ottawa, albeit if they keep the bugs off my tomato plants I would not mind them chilling in my backyard.

perhaps someone at a garden center could help you find some?

very few things eat tomato plants. They are toxic. The hornworms annoy me the most.
