What kind of sickness is this, and what are some home remedies...

Body aches, as in it hurts to walk around.
I am quite hot to the touch.
Headache.

Right now Tylenol is kicking in so I am able to walk around, but whenever it wears off there is no position I can get into to get comfortable.. whole body is hurting and I just want to be in bed all day.

I know a good Japanese folk remedy but getting the materials is a bit difficult if you don't have a Japanese market nearby plus it tastes nasty.

Sounds like you got a classic case of the flu. It's probably going to knock you off your ass for a week. There is a medicine that you can take for the flu if you can get it quick enough that will knock the symptons down and the recovery time down. The medicine isn't a home remedy, you will have to get it from your doctor.

Nope. None of that. Just the symptoms I described so far, thankfully.

The worst feeling is knowing that someone you care about is sick and you can't do anything to make them better. I felt so helpless because i couldn't help him....all I could do was sit there with him and hope that he falls asleep and forgets how uncomfortable he is.

You can help, you can buy drugs.

drink plenty of fluids and sleep it off.

Thats how i feel when i have the flu.
take some eccinachia (sp) and drink lots of tea and juice
And REST. get better though

drink lots of Clear fluids, water juice,tea,
not much coffee milk,
stay away from booze/beer.
warm shower/bath go to bed..

Nyquil too!

I'd recommend seeing if you have a fever. If you don't, I'd take a hot shower, take another dose of Tylenol and go to bed, you'll be better in the AM. If you have a fever, do the same thing, but you'll still be sick in the AM.
