We have a three year-old pit mix and he's pretty much the most awesome dog ever. If my kids annoy him in any way his MOST EXTREME reaction is to come find me and give me a look like "will you please make them stop?"

My yellow lab growing up would have torn apart a kitten if she had the chance, just like she killed squirrels, muskrats, and woodchucks. My ex-gfs border collie would have done the same.

My half-pit half-lab encountered a kitten on a walk a few weeks ago, the thing just walked up to her. I expected her to try and tear it apart because she goes nuts over most cats. Instead she listened to me and carefully walked along as the kitten sniffed at her heels for half a block.

Sure sounds like an owner problem, not a dog.
