What kind of shoes are best for students?

decent amount of walking with heavy load... not much running...

i have a pair of nike crosstrainers that are really comfy, but they are falling apart should i get another pair of crosstrainers? basketball? tennis? i know jack about shoes...

another vote for New Balance But in general, standard sneakers are very comfortable and can be slipped on quickly to save that precious minute before arriving late to class

i'm wearing the new nike shox nz's... one of the most comfortable pair of shoes i've ever put on... lightweight, cushiony and springy... i guess it's all what's the most comfortable to you, but the new nz's get my vote

I do waiter work where I'm on my feet 6-12 hours a night usually and I found Brooks to be a godsend. The most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever worn, period. They can be a might expensive though, but my legs have been thanking me every night since I bought them. Try them out, you might like them. If your going for something cheaper, New Balance is excellent as well.
