What kind of settings to use on an S3 to use indoors without flash?

I don't like the look of flash and would prefer to get a natural shot, but don't know much about the settings.
 
a very steady hand. IS on (although I dont think it helps much on the wide end). ISO 400. Manual mode with trial and error to see whats the slowest shutter you can use hand held w/o causing visible camera shake.

hate to say it, but the S3's not very good indoors (low light) w/o the flash
