Yeah, it'd be nice to have something better than Old El Paso salsa 🙁

OMG the reason that I started this is I'm eating Old El Paso stuff right now, bought for the first time a few days ago, and it tastes like crap!

Whatever the hottest one is. It needs to be spicey. I usually get the one that is fresh at costco, and then I add some of my own hot sauces to it.

Sometimes I make up a batch of fresh homemade stuff with plenty of onion, cilantro and fresh jalapenos.
But usually I just grab a jug of Pace Picante

Pace Thick and Chunky Medium. If I want to spice it up a little bit, I take a can of Extra Hot green chilis and mix it in. good stuff.

2 lbs of peeled tomatoes
half an onion
handful of cilantro
6-8 peppers (use jalepenos for mild/medium and serranos for HOT)
Salt to taste
Lime juice to taste

chop everything very fine mix in a large bowl.

I will sometimes put SOME of the onions, cilantro, and peppers in a blender with a bit of tomato juice and liquify. add back in.

If tomatoes are really juicy you may need to withhold some of the juice to keep the salsa from getting too runny.
