What kind of PSU do you need for a Intel Quad Core CPU?

I'm planning on buying a new computer in July when the Intel Quad CPU's become affordable. I am just wondering what kind of PSU I will need to power an overclocked Quad processor with 2 HDD's a Geforce 8800 GTS and a couple of PCI cards. I used Power Supply Calculator, but it suggested that I need a 900 W PSU, which seems a little much. I was thinking of an Antec 500W EarthWatts EA500, but I am afraid it will not be enough. Does anyone have a suggestion of a good PSU that will be able to power this system? It is important that it is quiet.

Also, I plan to reuse my old tower case from my Asus P4B, Pentium 4 computer. It shouldn't be a problem with a Asus P5K or P5B motherboard, right?

And I would NOT reuse the case, quads get hot and the air needs to be removed from the case here are a few cases i would use.

Centurion 5

LIAN LI PC-7B plus II

SOPRANO VB1000BWS

The reason I want to reuse my old big tower Noise Control case is that it is designed to be really quiet with noise reducing carpet, and that it is big which makes it easier to work with and should be better for heat purposes. Right now I only have the PSU fan and an extra fan that blows air out of the case, but I plan on adding an extra fan that blows air into the case, maybe near the CPU on the rear side of the case or in the front if I remove some of the noise padding. Do you think that my case has worse air flow than the cases above that you suggested? My concern was that newer motherboards shouldn't fit or something, but it shouldn't be a problem since most motherboards still use the ATX standard.

Earthwatts EA500 (34A on 12V) will be enough to power the system you post above, however it may restrict you if you want to upgrade your video card in the future. You can go with the Corsair 520 (It has 40A on 12V more than enough to handle any single video rig with room to upgrade), or if you think you may want SLI go with the 620W.
