What kind of "professional" business shoes do you own?

I found another job through a temp agency doing data entry. I'm so freaking ecstatic. I have to wear professional business attire. I have the dress shirt/pants but I don't have the shoes. What are some types of business shoes? Is Lugs considered dress shoes? I'm not talking about those weird looking boots but rather the all black shoes that don't have too many shapes to um.

So do you all think that Lugz or even DC Shoes would qualify for professional footware attire? I don't want to purchase a pair and then go in and have them tell me that it isn't professional enough. Thanks.

I have permanent wingtip tattoos on my feet. So, I go to work barefoot and no one is the wiser.

A pair of DC's that cost me $150 ;> They're actually quite nice, and I don't own any "business" shoes so they do just fine. I also have three other pairs of shoes, some suede dc's, some reeboks, and a pair of nikes. The reeboks and nikes are old-school and cheap, the suede were on sale for $90 and I couldn't resist :/

I've got a pair of Doc Martens...they're great. They're not too good if it's professional business attire (shiny shoes) but they're great for khakis and an oxford shirt, which is the attire at my office.

Congrats. All I've ever worn are dockers. I don't know about shoes, but they're reasonably heavy, but don't look too out of place being at the bottom of a suit, or a pair of jeans (if that's impossible, I wouldn't know either, so don't tell me).

A couple pairs of Ecco, a pair of Josef Seibel, a pair of Sperry top-siders, and a pair of black shoes I got at Banana Republic once.

I wear black Nike sneakers with a suit and tie. Who the hell goes around at work looking at peoples' shoes?

I have a pair of Rockports, they're amazing (light, comfortable, and very classy) but a little on the expensive side. Nonetheless, they were worth it to me. These are the shoes, more specifically Text

I used to wear Dexter for work when I was a kid. Recently I tried JV, Hogan, Bass, and a couple more and I really like them.
