how much p/s will i need for a system like this? (minimum p/s if the system were running at/very near full load) my primary concern is sound - i want to be able to run this thing with the most silent fans available, none where possible.

1.2ghz MP
any mobo w/ integrated ide raid + ddr support
512mb pc2100 (2x256)
ati all in wonder radeon (i really want that integrated tv tuner....)
16x hardware decoding dvd drive
12/10/32A plextor cdrw
(2) seagate barracuda iv 80gb (in raid 0)
sblive 5.1
any 10/100 nic
lian-li pc-68
usb ms natural kb/usb ms intellimouse explorer
usb flatbed scanner
usb laser printer

what if i used a 1.0ghz MP instead?
what if i lost one of the hdds?
is there a way to use two power supplies to power one mobo? (i found a p/s that runs stable at 130w without fans so i was thinking maybe 260w would be enough unless somehow 130w is enough)

i doubt that you would be able to run that system stable with a 260w psu, but you might...i would be concerned, though, with the thought of trying to hook up two psu's...i dont know how you would do that...i would say that you should get a good 350 watt psu from enermax...they make good, quiet psu's if noise is your concern

first of all, you need to get a AMD approved P/S. Enermax P/Si just bought a enermax EG365P-VE. AMD has a P/S approved list at their website but i couldn't find the list. for your set-up i would reccomend at least a 350W p/s. you should also try AMDMB.com checkout the amdmb.com forums too. i hope this helped :)

i would recommend at least 300w. if you want a quiet psu, you can replace the psu fan with a quiet one. just requires a little soldering.
