I've been using a ComeMon CPD-174 heavily since around 2001 or 2002 and am astonished that it is still performing as well today as the day I bought it. But, at 17.4 inches diagonal, it has become too small for gaming and movie watching.
Does anyone have any idea what kind of panel this venerable monitor used? By today's standards it may not be the best of monitors, but when I got it I remember the quality was very high. I was wondering if it was just a particularly good TN panel from back in the day, or something else.

This monitor has been discontinued, and I think ComeMon has been experiencing financial woes in recent years, so they have no modern equivalent. But when I get a replacement I hope it lasts as long as this one has!
