Right now I have a VisionTek GF4 Ti4200 128MB video card... I'm running it at 275core / 505 mem.... think I could get it much higher?

I have the same card as you Trevelyan and i can get not higher than 300/540. The mem seems to be the limiting factor on this card.

I've got an eVGA 128MB card with 4ns RAM; using the usual 1000/4 calculation, and it's DDR RAM, that's an effective rated speed of 500. The card came clocked at 250/444 core/mem.
I got mine to 300/567 - that's with a copper rackmount-type (1U) cooler on the core, and RAMsinks I cut from old 486 heatsinks. I'm going to try a higher core frequency once I get my case window installed - it'll have a 120mm fan blowing right across the expansion cards. I think that the RAM though is at its max possible speed.

Alright, I think I'll try to raise it up a little bit at a time then.... what kind of stress test should I use to make sure everything is stable?

Albatron ti4200p (non-turbo) 128MB @ 310/580 v40.41

I can go higher, but I start to get artifacts!

Trevelyan,

I also have the same card as you. I run it at 275/530 for stability. I can sometimes get by with increasing the GPU to 300, but that will occasionally cause a hard lock. I get minor artifacts at a memory speed of 540, and bad artifacts at 550. Overall though, I've heard of people getting alot more out of this card. I think I'm just unlucky.

Albatron ti4200P-Turbo 290/640

Higher core - Locks
Higher memory - Artifacts

I will pull HS off eventually and check for contact with GPU...probably use AS 3 :)

Chaintech128mb 295/585, could go to 300/595 w/ no artifacts but for aging purposes ill keep it a little lower.

yes
my sliders with coolbits are maxed out on my MSI Ti4200

315/560
rock solid

you must note that 64mb cards have alot faster memory clocks.. so you gotta post which config you have.. 64 or 128.

Got myself a 128meg BFG from the super dooper Best Buy deal....

Core: 300
Mem: 550

No problems at all... could probably go higher but I don't want to deal with lockups right nnow :)
