Ok what where those people smoking when they came up with their name?!? WTF does an egg have to do with PC and electronic stuff?!? They should've called it Newtech.com or something like. That makes 10x more sense then Newegg! I mean wtf?!? Where they humping a chicken when they thought of this name!?

A wile back, stabbing was the preferred solution to any question.
I guess it got a little out of hand, and the mods were afraid someone would take the advise seriously, so they banned the word.

It did. To this day, I know some people that refer to Newegg as Egghead by mistake, as if the two are linked in their minds.
