What kind of music recording do you prefer?

I noticed that the itunes store has both and I'm torn between the live versions of the song and the versions recorded in a studio, I would have to say that I prefer Live though. What about you?

A lot of live recordings have absolute bottom quality sh#t sound quality, so as good as the performance may be, I usually prefer studio. However, if its a really well recorded live track, than I'd prefer that.

Studio.

Mainly because the acoustics in a live performance are crappy (for the most part).

I'd prefer to listen live, but as far as recorded - studio normally does better. More control.

I prefer recordings that are (or at least sound like they are) live in the studio. By that I mean all the instruments are played at once, rather than recorded one at a time. A lot of modern music is made up of multiple takes spliced together with Pro Tools, with the parts recorded separately, so it sounds lifeless and sterile.
