Ok, as the topic says "What kind of music do you listen to". So what do you listen to? I listen to slow songs, rap, r&b and alternative, and SOME techno.

Shania videos, maybe. ;)

I like hard rock. My favorite right now is Disturbed.

I like a lot of the 80's rock, too. ** dons flame-retardant suit ** ;)

DCTalk is pretty awesome. :) Then again, I like NIN, too. Anything by JS Bach also turns me on (but not Sebastian Bach, please!).

I'm a music ho. When you've grown up taking piano lessons---or any kind of musical instruction--- you learn to tell what is music and what is not. Some stuff is just noise and emotion. That doesn't make it bad, but... I can't listen to it.

I would have to say, however, that U2 is my band of bands. Now, does that date me or what?

BTW... I can name all the members of RUSH. I saw them in concert 4 times. So shoot me. :D

(I had to edit this.... before I did, I came off sounding like a real snot... I'm sorry. But see, you don't have to flame me.... I'll flame myself!!!)

Tool (who rules all)

KoRn, Bizkit (stuff before Starfish), Morcheeba, Underworld, Rage, Manson, Staind, Dust and Chemical Brothers, etc...

Hard Rock and Techno mostly....country needs to die as well as disposable Pop

Gotta go back to oldschool with Nirvana and the like now and again as well

I listen to a little bit of everything...including country (check out Allison Krause-when you say nothing at all, love that song). Right now, the cd getting all the playtime is an amazing trance compilation DJ Stein H - Connected Volume 1. I can't stop listening to it because the song selection is amazing and the mixing is top notch. The main categories, however, are trance and some lesser known hip hop (handsome boy modeling school, peanut butter wolf, Doc Oc, J5, etc). Throw in Erasure, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, and some other 80's stuff and thats pretty much it. I don't really listen to much popular music nowadays though.

btw i've seen country guitarists that would make slash hide in a corner and cry... i can't believe i forgot ff in my last post, i want to <edit>br</edit>dino in a couple of years.. for being a guitar driven genre, hardrock has really been lacking talented guitarists lately..

Did you hear the work Slash did on the Curdled soundtrack? Yeah, baby! But then, Spanish guitars DRIVE ME CRAZY. :D

BTW... As far as my opinions... they are like farts. Everyone has them, and everyone thinks that everyone else's stink. This thread is disturbingly like sitting around smelling other people's farts. I'd better leave now... time to work again.

Dangit, someone is impersonating me again!

Yea, APC is good stuff...went to the concert over the weekend

Sunna though...those guys opened for APC and man did they suck nutz

Hard Rock is lacking guitarists mainly because what sells now is the hard, distorted power chords (Disturbed, Kitty [who shouldn't be getting as much praise as they do], etc...)

Exactly what RJRD2, toolgirl, snoogans, and convex said! :) it's nice to see other people with my taste as well.

I also have to say that Isla is right on the money with U2. They friggin rock.

ps: Snoogans: didn't you also imply in the other thread that you like movies such as Clerks? :p You sound like my kinda person.

Yea, Bling, hard to beat Kevin Smith's flicks. I'd have to say I liked "Mallrats" the best but it's hard to have a fav.
