Flowmasters sound like @$$ imho. Everytime I hear some bastard with flowmasters I just want to take a bat to their car.

Walker makes some great mufflers - don't know a lot about aftermarket stuff for Crown Vics though but I'd recommend them like Iron said

Damn right. FM are too loud. Not joking about the Super Turbos in my Mopar. They are loud and really resonate in the car. Its cool though! Sounds like I have a big block instead of small block. You can hear me comming from 2 blocks away. Police give me dirty looks but unless I am being stupid they don't bother me.

My CV sounds great. Not too loud in the car either. Sounds awesome when passing people.

It depends upon what series flowmaster, how many chambers, what technology and what other components make up your exhaust system. Flowmasters can sound terrible or they can sound very good. It all depends on your setup just like all the mufflers mentioned. Hell I have heard flows on a X-Pipe that was on a 4.6 DOHC running 10lbs of boost that was awesome. I have also heard cars with flows on either h-pipe or x that sounded like crap. A good h-pipe with flows is hard to screw up yet somehow people manage to do it.

I am debating whether or not to try out some different mufflers, but for right now JBA shorties, MAC offroad H-pipe and 40 series 2 chamber flows sounds good.
