What kind of monitor is the best....

I'm looking for a 19 inch monitor that's Trueflat (not LCD) and good for gaming...hoping a price 300 or less....any ideas?

You might want to check out those Dell deals on the trintron 19inch dell for less than 300 shipped or the NEC 950 series thru Dell also. Dell is always having some kind of deal on monitors.

I just bought this monitor for my new PC. I have been very pleased with it. It is the best monitor that I've used to date. The Hitachi and NEC 19" monitors are also supposed to be nice. You really have to decide if you want an aperture grille or shadow mask. They both have their perks. Study up on those two different kinds and you'll narrow your choice down.

I heard ViewSonic was a good brand...was looking at the G series...comments?

First post ever!

Now that I got that out of the way, I have a Viewsonic G90f. Great monitor, crisp and clear, not blurry like some that I have seen. I Bought it about a year ago and I think it cost around $280. Good Luck

BTW: Max resolution is 1600 x 1200 and some new fangled vid cards have higher res than that!

Viewsonic doesn't make the monitor, they outsource to other manufacturers.
