dual 19's

they've been setting up new workstations with 1 x 22" instead of 2 19s, but I'll be holding on to my dual screens for as long as I can. I really "need" dual monitors so that I can have the TS or ssh session of whatever server I'm working on open in one window and the database record or client ticket I'm handling open in the other.

I've never understood the hate that people have for multiple monitors. It makes things *sooo* much nicer. I think that there are a lot of people in my department who could use six or eight monitors to 100% capacity.

3 would be awesome... I could totally use a third monitor dedicated to Outlook. I get hundreds of emails every day but most of them are filtered into subfolders so I don't necessarily get the notification for every one.

I had to fight for like a year to get two, and when I got them people told me I didn't really need them. Now I have four. They don't question me anymore. :p

One 17" LCD. Sadly, it's a step up from the 15" CRT they had me on for the last 10 months. My last job was bliss with a 19" 4:3 LCD.

Most folks are getting 1080p 23" 16:10 LCD's now, because they're dirt cheap.

I have a 24" Dell 1920x1200 display for my laptop, and 2 22" Dell 1680x1050 displays for my testbed and secondary systems.
