What kind of life would you like to have if you could choose?

Assuming that you still have to support yourself with something that is reasonably within your abilities (no replies of "I would be a multi-billionaire trust-fund baby" please), what would you like your life to be like?

I would like to have a small house in the country with my closest friends near enough to drive there in a day. I'd have a big yard with a couple of gardens, vegetable and flower, maybe even some fields that I could lease to a local farmer. I'd have a job like I have now where it's interesting and I'm enjoying myself, but I'd work more from home via VPN. I'd get to spend evenings on the porch with my wife and watch my children grow up out in the country. I'd have a nice little workshop for me to wrench on my car and I'd be able to spend time working in those gardens on the weekends.

I'd have an average size house (ideally Cincinatti or Columbus, OH) with my friends close enough that we could continue our every weekend BBQs. My job would be something I enjoy and I could work from home 2-3 days a week. I wouldn't need to be independently wealthy but I wouldn't have to worry about bills & retirement with enough remaining for my wife and I to take a nice vacation every 18 months or so. I'd also have enough funds to send my parents on a 2nd honeymoon as a thanks for all they've done for me.
