What kind of Joystick do you have?

I've got an old Sidewinder Precision Pro but, It's not USB so I can't get it to work on my laptop without an adapter so I'm going to give it to a friend of mine. I'm trying to think of ideas for the new joystick I'm going to get. I just need something to play battlefield vietnam and Fflight sim with.

Saitek (sp?) X45 -- Flight Stick but can also be used as a plain old joystick.

--- Just read your post. For flights sims I highly recommend it.

Man that looks expensive, how much did that set you back?

$60ish IIRC

I've got a Logitech Wingman Extreme and a MS Sidewinder Precision Pro 2.

If my logitech's stick could twist and was USB I'd use it over the MS one anyway. The MS joystick is too light for my tastes.

I have the same exact joystick, I still use a soundcard that has a gameport, but when I get a card that doesn't support it, I'll just get a game port to USB adapter. Those joysticks are great ones, and I don't think they're going to make another one worth switching to soon.

Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro, Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad (the original one), and a self wired SNES pad.

Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar stick and throttle. Elit rudder pedals. Stick has been modded with high grade gimbal from Australia. Total setup is about $700 but I'm a flight sim nut so it's worth it...

Pretty old MS Sidewinder. Not USB. I kinda wish it was so I could hook it up to my laptop if need be. I'd be tempted to use the onboard sound on my main computer, too, if I didn't need the gameport on my SBLive. It's got three axes so it works well for BF1942, but that's all I've really played on it recently.

1 Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2
1 Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro
1 Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro (best joystick ever made. period)

Logitech wingman force 3D. use it in battlefield desert combat all the time. it's deadly when your flying an Apache
