I need some decent headphones for latenight gaming :) I think I need something with the small din connector and a pretty long cord. I'm hoping to spend around $50 for them if possible. Any ideas on which ones are good?

actualy the best headphones are the ones made for DJ monitors. Go to any local music instrumnet store and they will have some nice ones

rhinox99:

If you're going to be using these as your primary late night gaming headphones, wait a couple months and spend $100-150 on a nice pair of Sennheiser or Sony monitor headphones. The sony monitors start out around $100 and are very comfortable for long periods of time. The link posted by BoberFett may be your best recommendation under $100 however.

Wireless headphones aren't all that, unless you spend > $300 for a decent pair, otherwise you'll be plagued with background noises, random signal drops and short battery life. I've done some research and the only one worth getting is the Sony Dolby Digital headset, costs around $500-600 USD.

For $50 there are some nice Sony earbud models that are extremely high quality and you won't be disappointed. Go to a AV store and they should have some mid to high end models waiting for you :)

you should try to get something with a mic a lot of games will be going that direction within the next year. I've tried a few but the best I'ved used was the plantronics HS1. Pretty decent headphones but awesome mic.
