Who's your inner Uber Geek?
Uber Geek (n)
a prominent or extreme example of the common geek. Uber, the German word for above or over, has been adopted as a slang prefix meaning super or ultra; thus, the uber geek is one whose preoccupation with technology goes above and beyond that of the average geek.
We've defined five geek archetypes, identified their celebrity prototypes, and devised a highly unscientific way to determine where you fall on the geek continuum.
Are you the Alpha Geek, rising to the top via natural law? Maybe you're the Megalomaniac Geek, a demanding yardstick for quality? The Iconoclast Geek, blithely flouting convention? Perhaps you're the Classic Geek, firing on all cylinders whilst lesser geeks snooze? Or are you the Secret Anarchist Geek, all smooth compliance on the
surface while quietly subverting authority from within?
Take the test to find out if you match up with Torvalds, Gates, Jobs, Cerf, or Hopper.
